Patterns

Quick Knit Hat Pattern:
Cast on 81 Stitches (any cast on, but I use the long tail cast on) using US Size 8 needles (either 16″ circulars, or DPNs – double pointed needles) and join the knitting in the round. As an alternate, you can cast on 82 stitches, and K2tog (Knit two stitches together) to join the in the round.
Then:
Knit 12 rows of K2, P1 ribbing.
Knit 27 rows of all Knit stitch.

Reduce as follows:
K 6, K2tog for two rows.
K 5, K2tog for two rows.
K 4, K2tog for two rows. (You will need to move stitches onto DPNs here to finish hat)
K 3, K2tog for one row.
K 2, K2tog until only 8-12 stitches are remaining on the needles.
Pull yarn through remaining stitches and tie off. Weave in ends. Wear hat and be happy.
