Both bears hung out for a bit before Scarf Bear moved to my brother&#8217;s house.<\/p>\n<p>The basic pattern for an easily knitted bear can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/forum.knit-a-square.com\/forum\/topics\/a-simple-teddy-bear-patricia\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.  For the bears above, I used a dual strand of yarn, and knitted them on Size 7 circular needles.  Both bears were a learning experience, as I am a total newbie at changing yarn colors, and I can see the mistakes in my knitting.  The Trek bear in particular was difficult due to the shirt pattern requiring 3 yarn colors on a few rows.
