2014 CampNaNoWriMo<\/p><\/div>\n

Yep, I’m in. Just signed up for the July 2014 Camp NaNoWriMo. <\/p>\n

Those that know me know I approach most NaNoWriMo events as a sacred month-long holiday.\u00c2\u00a0 I get giddy; I exude confidence and revel in the late nights and long weekends slaving over words.<\/p>\n

But I’ve historically treated Camp NaNoWriMo with less obsessive adoration.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m not sure why that is – less website interaction?\u00c2\u00a0 That it’s not exactly the same rules?\u00c2\u00a0 That it’s not November?\u00c2\u00a0 Regardless of the reason, I’ve frequently signed up, tuned in and then dropped out long before the Camp month ends.<\/p>\n

So this time, I’m signing up for a cabin, in hopes that the interaction with other writers will fuel me forward.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve got about 9 days to come up with a few scraps of a plot, and I managed to sketch out a few character ideas last night.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve put my intentions out there.\u00c2\u00a0 Hopefully I can find a few new writers to join the Thursday night write-ins at Wegman’s as well.<\/p>\n

In terms of results, I’m hoping at a minimum July gets me journaling again – something I do in spurts and then stop again.\u00c2\u00a0 In Hawaii I wrote several times a day – I wish I could get that fire back.\u00c2\u00a0 I’d also like to start posting regularly on this blog – something I think about, but usually realize too late at night that I didn’t get to.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I think more than anything though, I’d like to be writing a story – not because that’s what I said I’d do, and I locked myself into a word count, but because I am having a good time at it and want to.<\/p>\n

I want to be writing again.<\/p>\n
