\"2014\"<\/a>I’m spending too much time inside, lately.\u00c2\u00a0 A lot of my view of fall has been from the kitchen slider window.\u00c2\u00a0 I keep expecting to wake up and find all the leaves have fallen off or blown away, but the trees continue to flame out in color.\u00c2\u00a0 But I’ve escaped the house a few times to get a look at the trees.<\/p>\n

I’ve been particularly lazy with charging up the camera and going for a drive to photograph fall colors this year.\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t know why – I have the time, but I guess I’ve been resisting driving around and wasting fuel if it’s not necessary.\u00c2\u00a0 So most of what I’ve photographed has been driving from home to the library and back.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve resorted to pulling over and using my phone, which is usually fine, but with a cracked camera lens, I tend to get JJ Abrams-type lens flare if there’s a lot of sun.<\/p>\n

Over on the northwest side of Leesburg, the trees started changing rather early.\u00c2\u00a0 The photo doesn’t do this tree justice – The colors were so vibrant I turned around to go back and get a photo of it.\u00c2\u00a0 I wish the trees in our yard would change like this, but so far they’re still green.<\/p>\n

This tree was photographed on the southeast side of Leesburg\u00c2\u00a0 – Again, the camera just doesn’t capture the true brilliance of the colors.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s a shame that we’ll get a good two weeks of color and then the leaves will disappear.\u00c2\u00a0 Fall is definitely my favorite season, both for the temperature change and the colors.<\/p>\n

Southeast Leesburg again.\u00c2\u00a0 The oaks are turning brown; the cherry trees along the road all turned yellow and lost their leaves about a week or so ago.\u00c2\u00a0 Even with the rain and wind, these guys have managed to hold onto their leaves for a little while longer.\u00c2\u00a0 Soon, with the time change, we won’t even see them in the sunset\u00c2\u00a0 – it will be too dark to see anything on he drive home at night.\u00c2\u00a0 While I tend to look forward to the change back to standard time, I’ll definitely miss watching the sunset on the commute home.<\/p>\n
